Heard from the doctor this morning. Good news is the tumor has not grown in 2 weeks. According to the report, doctor said we are still moving forward with the "Bronchoscopy, rigid or flexible, including Fluoroscopic guidance, when performed; with transbronchial needle aspiration biopsies, trachea, main stem and/or lobar bronchus". I don't know if that means biopsy for both tumor and lymph node or just lymph node. I have a call into the center to see if I can get more answers.
My sister will be flying in on Thursday next week and then we will drive to Duke on Friday for the procedure. I can't wait to see her and spend some time with her. She plans on staying with me until she leaves on the 29th.
I got to say, all of this is very scary and can be so overwhelming with really no answers for days and weeks and possibly months but I have been truly blessed with the outpouring of love and support I have received from my family and close friends. "Hard times reveal who you can really count on and who you can’t. It is during those times that people reveal what is truly in their hearts and their true character - Bohdi Sanders".
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
