I googled what is the most boring interstate in North Carolina and it was not a surprise to me on how many comments showed up about Interstate 40 between Wilmington and Raleigh NC. In fact, one person said it best "Most boring highways in NC? I'd say most have to be located in eastern NC. As most of us know, A LOT of eastern NC is all flat, dull, remote (in a bad way), swampy farmland. I-40 from Raleigh to Wilmington is incredibly dull, not much to look at and barely any decent sized towns along that stretch of road". Perfectly said.

I will be trekking down this boring road, once again, early next Tuesday, July 11, for 2 more appointments at the Duke Cancer Center. You would think with all we learned from the pandemic, over the phone telehealth visits would suffice, but not in their world. According to the nurse on the phone today, the panel of doctors will decide if surgery will take place within the next 30 days. If longer than 30 days, then I go to only 1 appointment with the surgeon performing the surgery. If within the next 30 days then I will have a second appointment for pre-op screening.
