Day 3 after surgery and I am struggling. The incision on my throat has swollen and is of course, very uncomfortable. Yesterday was my terrible. I was light-headed and dizzy for the most part and just felt out of sorts. Thank goodness I had my best friend here to take care of me and keep me comfortable. Today I feel slightly better but the incision is still swollen and it hurts to swallow. The doctor said it could take a week or so for the swelling to go down but it is normal. I just need to look out for red streaks, fever and pus.
Still waiting on the test results from the biopsy. The doctor said it could be up to 2 weeks before the results come back. These days my hope is that after months of probing and prodding, and now this surgery, that I will finally get the answers I need to move forward rather than another test which comes back "undetermined".

Heavenly Father, I come before you in this time of need, asking for your healing power and favor. I know you are the source of all comfort and strength, and I trust your power to heal and restore. I pray for protection and peace as I go through this testing period. Grant me the courage to face any results and the wisdom to accept your will for me.
I know that you are a God of miracles and that no situation is too hard for you. I thank you for your grace and mercy that you bestow on me. Lead me in the path of your righteousness and keep me safe in your fold. I pray that you will give me the strength to face any outcome.
In Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen.
